HOW ADHD JUNCTION WORKS

Privacy and formalities

How we handle information, the limits of this website, and the standards behind what we publish.

01

Privacy

ADHD Junction respects your privacy and aims to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible.

Information you give us

ADHD Junction does not use an online contact form. If you email us, we may receive your email address, name and anything you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, deal with related follow-up and keep appropriate records where necessary.

Please do not send medical records or detailed sensitive health information by email.

Website information

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics solely to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, how people reach the website and how it performs, so that we can improve it. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or browser storage for analytics and does not track individual visitors. ADHD Junction does not use the information to identify anyone.

Anonymous analyticsOn

You can switch off Cloudflare Web Analytics for this browser. Your choice is stored only on this device and can be changed here at any time.

If you choose “Save my progress” in an interactive worksheet, your answers are stored only in this browser on this device. They are not sent to ADHD Junction. You can erase them from the worksheet at any time.

How long we keep information

Email correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any appropriate follow-up or record-keeping.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. Email is handled by the services used to forward and receive messages. Cloudflare processes the limited website-use and performance information needed to provide its aggregate analytics service. Other service providers may handle limited information where this is necessary to operate the website or communications systems.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights over personal information we hold about you, including rights to access, correct or request deletion of that information.

For privacy enquiries, contact us here.

You can also raise concerns about the handling of personal information with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

This notice will be updated if ADHD Junction introduces services that require us to collect or use personal information in different ways.

Disclaimer

ADHD Junction provides independent information intended to help people understand ADHD, assessment routes and related practical issues.

The information on this website is general information, not individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Reading ADHD Junction, using its tools or contacting us does not create a clinician–patient relationship.

Assessment and treatment decisions should be made with appropriately qualified healthcare professionals who can consider your individual circumstances.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information is accurate and current, but healthcare pathways, eligibility criteria, waiting times, provider arrangements, prices, regulations and guidance can change. Where a decision matters, check the current position with the relevant provider, NHS service, regulator or professional.

Right to Choose and some other NHS arrangements discussed on ADHD Junction apply specifically to England. Different arrangements may operate elsewhere in the UK.

Links to external websites are provided to help readers find useful information. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the organisation, service or every statement on the linked website.

ADHD Junction does not guarantee that any particular provider, assessment, diagnosis, treatment or course of action will be suitable for an individual.

For privacy or accessibility enquiries, you can use the same address.

Please do not send detailed medical records or other highly sensitive personal information by ordinary email. ADHD Junction cannot provide emergency or individual medical care.

04

Accessibility

ADHD Junction aims to make its information clear and usable by as many people as possible.

We consider accessibility when designing pages, navigation, typography and content, and we will continue improving the site as it develops.

If something on ADHD Junction is difficult for you to access or use, please email us and tell us what you were trying to access. Where reasonably possible, we will provide the information in a more accessible form or address the problem.

05

ADHD Junction is independent

ADHD Junction does not provide assessments, maintain provider rankings, arrange referrals or take payment from assessment providers. It is designed to help you understand what you have noticed, consider the possible explanations and routes, and make a more informed decision about what happens next. Assessment may be useful for some people. For others, a different conversation, adjustment or form of support may be the better first step.
